Altamount Road

The micro-market

Altamount Road is a short, steep street on Cumballa Hill, and it has long been counted among the most expensive addresses in the country. It climbs away from Kemps Corner along the ridge, lined with old trees and a small number of towers that look out over the city towards the sea.

There is very little here to buy. The road holds only a handful of buildings, residences come up for sale infrequently, and when they do the conversation is usually private. It is an address chosen for discretion and permanence rather than for amenities.
